Salem, Tamil Nadu:
Three women were killed and two others injured when a car knocked them down near Salem in Tamil Nadu today, police said.
The victims, all labourers, were on their way to work when the mishap occurred.
The injured women have been admitted to a hospital.
Police said the driver of the car has been arrested and the vehicle impounded.
