Srikakulam:
Two men were on Sunday arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a 22-year-old woman near Bhavanapadu beach in the district, police said.
K Ravi and A Doorvasulu tried to disrobe the girl and also beat up her boyfriend after tying him up yesterday afternoon when they were sitting near the beach, they said.
Police said the duo fled after the girl raised an alarm following which some locals came to her rescue.
Bhavanapadu Revenue Officer submitted a report over the incident to police this morning, who, after inquiring into the matter traced the men.
The duo arrested by Naupada police were charged under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), they said.
