Chennai:
Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday said it has taken steps to ensure uninterrupted power supply for four hours on Thursday, to schools all through the state in view of announcement of Class XII examination results.
Electricity Minister Natham R Visawanthan, responding to K Balakrishnan (CPI-M) and S Gunasekaran of CPI, made a reply in this regard in the state Assembly.
"Steps have been taken for uninterrupted power supply from 9 am to 1PM on Thursday," in view of the announcement of results, he said.
Tamil Nadu is facing severe power shortage, with power cuts running to many hours besides erratic supply of electricity.
