Hyderabad: A student at the city-based English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) was allegedly gang-raped by two fellow students, police said today.
The alleged incident occurred on the night of October 31 and the victim lodged a complaint this morning, Inspector at Osmania University police station V Ashok Reddy, told PTI, without delving into details whether the accused were taken into custody.
According to local media reports, the victim was allegedly drugged and then assaulted. Upon being asked, the officer said investigation is underway and further details cannot be revealed at this juncture.
Based on the victim's complaint, the police have registered a case under Section 376 (g) and 341 for wrongful restraint of the IPC.
The victim has been sent for medical examination, he added.
