The US Ambassador to India Nancy Powell called on Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda on Friday.
The Chief Minister's Secretariat described it as a "courtesy call".
During the meeting, Mr Gowda recalled the excellent bi-lateral relations India and United states of America enjoyed.
Lakhs of people from Karnataka, especially from Bangalore are serving in premier and strategic institutions of USA and like-wise, a considerable number of Americans and American companies have their presence in Bangalore.
Mr Gowda said the state Government had implemented many new policies to create a favourable environment for the foreign investors and hoped that investors from America will find Karnataka an attractive destination for investments, according to a press release.
