Erode:
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today directed release of water from Bhavanisagar Dam in Erode district for irrigation of over 24,000 acres.
In a government release, she said that water will be released from April 16 following requests from local farmers.
The move would benefit 24,504 acres in Erode district, she said.
