Salem:
A woman AIADMK panchayat president was assaulted by a gang following a dispute over distribution of free mixies and fans, police said.
They said Palaniammal of Thalaivasal and her clerk were attacked by six persons following a misunderstanding over the distribution of the items.
The woman, who sustained hand injuries, has been hospitalised, they said.
