Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu: In a tragic incident, a 38-year-old woman set her self on fire along with her three daughters aged between 10-18 years, which led to the death of the girls near Ilanjambore in Ramanathapuram district.
Upset over frequent quarrels with her husband, the woman left for her native place near Ilanjambore from Karaikudi in Sivaganga district with her three daughters, police said.
Adding to that they said on her way she purchased a can of petrol.
She alighted from the bus near Ilanjambore last night, and poured petrol over the three girls and set them ablaze after which she set herself on fire, police said.
While two girls died on the spot, another died on the way to a hospital. The condition of the woman is stated to be serious, they said.
