After claiming the gold in Delhi Commonwealth Games, India wrestler Rajendra Kumar now wants to continue with his form to fetch glory in next month's Asian Games at Guangzhou, China.
"I will go to the arena of Guangzhou Asian Games with the confidence of winning a medal," Kumar, who is currently in a preparation camp at Sonipat, said.
"However, I cannot claim which medal I will win," he said over phone.
Kumar, who clinched gold in 55kg Greco-Roman category by defeating Pakistan wrestler Azhar Hussain, said he has been practicing more rigorously for the Asian Games expecting a tougher contest in China.
"I have been practicing more for the Asian Games than what I did for the CWG. At Asian Games I have to take on the grapplers, who had excelled in international competitions," said Kumar, who works as a Ticket Collector (TC) in Western Railway at Ratlam, around 100km from here.
Kumar said he was not so confident about winning the CWG medal as he was suffering from typhoid a week before his gold winning performance.
"I was asked to rest from September 22-29 by the doctors. I lost my confidence a bit but when I recovered I went to the ring with a faith," he said.
Kumar said his life has changed drastically since the success in Delhi Games.
"My life has undergone a huge change since I won the gold medal. Earlier, nobody knew me but now a number of people recognise me," he said.
