Victoria Azarenka has been fined $4,000 by the French Open for failing to attend a news conference after her first-round loss.
Azarenka, seeded 10th, was eliminated on Sunday by Gisela Dulko 6-1, 6-2.
Azarenka, who is from Belarus, had reached the quarterfinals at three of the past four Grand Slam tournaments, including Roland Garros a year ago.
