New Delhi:
The world's richest sports governing body, the Board of Cricket for Control in India, made its attempts to speed up the compromise between Hockey India and the hockey players.
Rajiv Shukla, Chairman of the BCCI's Media and Finance Committee, suggested that Hockey India should be in the hands where help can reach. He said, "Cricket doesn't get any government help but we pay everyone."
Citing an example when the BCCI helped the Football federation he added, "Football Federation asked ask for help when it was in trouble and we did our bit. If Hockey India or the ministry approches us we can think about it but it is difficult that someone funds and someone else manages the show."
