Bhutia may play alongside Zidane, Kaka

Kolkata: Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia may play with the likes of Zinedine Zidane and Kaka among other soccer stars in an exhibition fund-raising match in support of relief efforts for Haiti earthquake victims.

According to reports, the Indian senior-most pro has been invited to play in the 'Ronaldo Zidane Friends' team, which will play an exhibition match.

Bhutia, it may be recalled, had played in a Goal 4 Africa match at Bayern Munich's home ground of Allianz Arena with the likes of Formula One great Michael Schumacher and German captain Michael Ballack among others.

The team will clash against the All-Star team of Benfica which will host the game at its Stadium of Light in Lisbon on January 25.

Zidane and Ronaldo are goodwill ambassadors of the United Nations Development Programme which has raised funds in the past seven years for the awareness of global efforts to reduce poverty.

But due to commitments to his Club Corinthians-FC on January 24, Ronaldo has invited Brazilian teammate and friend Kaka, who is also a UN goodwill ambassador for the World Food Programme (WFP), to play in his place.

Bhutia could not be reached for reaction.
