Portoroz, Slovenia:
Anna Chakvetadze of Russia beat Johanna Larsson of Sweden 6-1, 6-2 in the Slovenia Open final on Sunday to win her first WTA Tour title in almost 2 1/2 years.
Chakvetadze broke twice in each set against Larsson, who was playing in her first final and who missed all three breakpoint chances in the second set.
Chakvetadze now has eight WTA Tour titles, her previous last one coming in Paris in February, 2008.
A top-five player in 2007, Chakvetadze has fallen to No. 103 in the rankings. In Portoroz, however, she ousted three seeded players _ Sara Errani, Vera Dushevina and Polona Hercog _ on her way to the final.
The match was delayed for two hours because of rain.
The 21-year-old Larsson had reached her first WTA quarterfinal earlier this month in Prague.
