Indian men's team wins gold at Archery World Cup
New Delhi: Indian men's team won the gold medal on Saturday in Recurve Men Section in the 4th World Cup Archery Championship held at Shanghai.

Jayanta Talukdar, Tarundeep Rai and Rahul Banerjee clinched gold from Japan team in a touch final match (224 Vs 220). Before the final, they defeated  Great Britain (218 Vs 216) in pre-quarter final, USA (225 Vs 208) in quarterfinal and China team (222 Vs 217) in semi final.

Deepika Kumari, Recurve Women Archer will face strong challenge from Korea, Bo Bae Ki for Gold on Saturday evening. Jayanta Talukdar will fight against his all time contender, World Champion - Marco Galiazzo of Italy.

Deepika had won the semi-final against Chinese Taipei archers, Hui Ju Wo and quarter-final against USA Archer, Khatuna LORIG.

Talukdar, Dola Banerjee and Deepika have also qualified for the final World Cup to be held at Edenburg on 18th and 19th September, 2010.
