Is Shoaib-Sania marriage in trouble?

Hyderabad: Shoaib Malik can marry Sania Mirza on 15th April, according to the chief priest of Hyderabad, Qazi Mohammed Najummudin Hussain, under Islamic law, in India, a man can even marry upto four times, without obtaining a divorce.

"If a man wants to marry more than once, under Islamic law, he can. A divorce is not necessary. He can keep both his wives," says Qazi Mohammed Najumuddin Hussain,

Sania admits she is upset with these developments but says the wedding date will not be postponed.

"Our marriage is taking place on the 15th only. If it is postponed, we will let you know", she says.

The family of Ayesha Siddiqui who claims to be Shoaib's wife, is demanding that he accept his guilt and publicly divorce her.

Wali-ur-Rahman, Ayesha's lawyer says, "If anyone has done a fraud, he has to be punished. He has to be arrested. He has to accept his guilt.''

With the Hyderabad police treading cautiously in this high-profile case, this is one match that is likely to go the distance.
