Virdhawal Khade and Sandeep Sejwal on Thursday won bronze medals in the 50m butterfly and 100m breaststroke events respectively at the Asian Swimming Championships in China.
Teenager Khade created a new national record with his timing of 24.14sec in the 50m butterfly event, eclipsing his previous best of 24.17sec that he had set at the Asian Age Groups Swimming Championships in August this year.
Delhi boy Sejwal also made a mark, clocking 1min 01.90sec in the 100m Breaststroke event, to bag bronze.
Khade will compete in the 100m Freestyle race on Friday.
