Mike Russell of England on Friday added the Time Format world crown to his Point Format title which he had won just five days ago after outplaying Peter Gilchrist of Singapore to win a memorable double in the IBSF World Billiards Championships here.
Russell outplayed Gilchrist 4120-784 in the Time Format final played over six hours at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana here.
Russell scored breaks of 281, 324, 281, 420, 88, 265 and he got the biggest break of 1137 on the 16th visit to the table, followed it up with breaks of 735 (visit 17), 176, 439 (visit 27) at an average of 158.5.
In contrast, Gilchrist had a poor day on the table managing to score 784 with breaks of 192, 124, 124.
Russell received a prize money of USD 2000 from Real Value Advertisers from the hands of Dr P D Patil, Chancellor DY Patil Vidyapeeth and Allen C Perreira CMD Bank of Maharashtra.
Russell had beaten India's Pankaj Advani in the Point Format final on August 23. Advani had lost to Russell in the Time Format semifinal on Friday.
