New Delhi:

Pankaj Advani is the new World Professional Billiards Champion.

Twenty-four-year old Advani beat the defending and nine times champion Mike Russel at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.

Advani is only the second Indian to win the Professional title in its 139-year history. Geet Sethi was the first to win in 1992. This is Advani's first Professional Billiards world title. He has already won the amateurs world billiards and snooker Championships.
