New Delhi: India's dashing opener Virender Sehwag has been nominated for this year's Padma Shri award along with badminton champion Saina Nehwal and Olympic bronze medal winning pugilist Vijender Singh.
India's only triple hundred scorer Sehwag, who achieved this feat twice, will receive this award along side Sachin Tendulkar's coach, Ramakant Vithal Achrekar.
Apart from them, former India hockey captain Ignace Tirkey and India's first and only Formula One racing driver Narain Karthikeyan will also be conferred with Padma Shri award.
