With more names coming under the scanner in connection with the Commonwealth Games (CWG) scam, sources have told NDTV that the sports ministry has shot off a letter to the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (OC) chairman Suresh Kalmadi to sack deputy Director General of the OC TS Darbari immediately.
Darbari has not yet been given a clean chit in an enquiry being conducted by the Kerala customs department.
Darbari handles a lot of financial matters including revenue, marketing & merchandising. Sources in the Sports Ministry said Darbari should not be handling money matters unless his name is cleared by Government's Revenue Department.
