Telangana fallout: No IPL matches in Hyderabad?

Hyderabad: Deccan Chargers the reigning champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL) may not be able to play any games on their home turf Hyderabad this year.

The IPL's governing council has decided to relocate all the five matches that were to be held in the Andhra Pradesh Capital, due to apprehensions over the Telangana issue.

The state's Sports Minister has written to the BCCI, urging that this decision be reconsidered. NDTV has a copy of the letter, which claims that the Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) has promised not to disrupt any of the IPL games.

Apart from the opening ceremony and opening matches of the IPL, Hyderabad was due to host four more games. Three other games are to be held in Vizag this year.
