New Delhi: Sports Minister M S Gill on Friday said India's brilliant performance in the ongoing Asian Games has set the foundation for a good medal haul in the 2012 Olympics in London.
Gill said he was especially pleased with the Indian performance in the track and field events.
"I am thrilled with the performance of girls in track and field events. More medals are likely to come and we will have a better performance in the 2012 London Olympics," Gill told reporters outside Parliament.
India has so far bagged 10 gold, 14 silver 29 bronze medals in the ongoing quadrennial extravaganza in the Chinese city of Guangzhou.
