World Cup: ICC team inspects Eden Gardens

Kolkata: After days of will it, will it not? Kolkata's Eden Gardens is facing its biggest test today. A three-member ICC Committee is at the venue to inspect the progress and to assess Eden's preparedness to host the three non-India matches of the World Cup.

This comes after it lost out on the India-England game to be held on February 27, since it was "underprepared".

The big bone of contention is the uncovered roof on two newly built galleries. Over 1500 labourers are working on a war footing so that cricket crazy Kolkata can witness some World Cup action.
