Zamora clinches Fulham's win over Sunderland
London: Bobby Zamora headed Fulham to a 1-0 victory over Sunderland on Sunday that moved the London club back into the top half of the Premier League.

Zamora exploited poor defending to meet John Pantsil's cross in the seventh minute and score his sixth goal of the season.

"In the first half he was magnificent," Fulham manager Roy Hodgson said.

"I thought his performance was good throughout and he was a major factor in our victory."

The victory lifts Fulham above Sunderland to eighth in the standings, two points below Liverpool.

In Sunday's other match, fourth-place Tottenham was at Everton.

Chelsea's lead at the top was trimmed to two points Saturday when Carlo Ancelotti's side lost 2-1 at Manchester City and second-place Manchester United won 4-0 at West Ham.
