Zvonareva into last eight at US Open

New York: Vera Zvonareva of Russia reached the quarter-finals of the US Open on Monday with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Andrea Petkovic of Germany.

The seventh seed will play 31st seed Kaia Kanepi of Estonia for a place in the semi-finals.
