Srinagar:
Air traffic operations resumed at Srinagar International Airport today, a day after flights were suspended when a tyre of an Air India plane burst while landing.
"Flight operations have resumed at the Srinagar International Airport as Indigo flight landed this morning," an official of the Airport Authority of India told PTI.
Flights to and from Srinagar were cancelled on Monday afternoon after 167 passengers of the Air India IC821 flight had a narrow escape when a tyre burst during landing and the plane was stuck on the runway halting flight operations.
An official of Air India said the plane has been towed to the hangar where necessary repairs are being carried out.
The early morning flights to Srinagar have been delayed but, the official said, all flights are scheduled to operate today.
