Srinagar: Nearly Rs 1 lakh was looted from a bank in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Monday by terrorist Zakir Musa, the head of Al-Qaeda-linked group in Kashmir, and his associates, police said.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Awantipora, Muhammad Zahid Malik said Zakir Musa and his two associates burst into the Noorpora branch of J&K Bank in Tral area, fired in the air and looted Rs 97,256 before fleeing.
The incident occurred around 2 pm, Mr Malik said.
23-year-old Zakir Musa has become the most wanted terrorist in Kashmir. Musa was earlier in the Hizbul Mujahideen.
