Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to receive heavy rainfall beginning today evening for the next three to four days, the Meteorological Office in Srinagar said.
"We are expecting scattered to fairly widespread rain in the state today. Rainy conditions are likely to continue in the entire state for the next six days," an official of the local weather office told IANS here.
The weather office has issued advisory of isolated to heavy rain for the Jammu region for Wednesday and Thursday.
"The weather is likely to improve after July 10 onwards in Jammu region," the official said.
He said precipitation will decrease in the state from Sunday (July 12) evening.
"There will be a partly cloudy sky today in capital Srinagar with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 33 degrees Celsius," the official said.
The minimum temperature in Srinagar was 19.7 degrees Celsius today and at tourist resorts of Gulmarg and Pahalgam it was 12 degrees and 15 degrees Celsius respectively.
Jammu city recorded the minimum temperature of 23.7 degrees Celsius today.
