Srinagar:
Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra on Thursday visited the Dastgeer Sahib shrine, which was destroyed in a devastating fire earlier this week, in Srinagar.
Mr Vohra expressed "deep sadness over the most unfortunate fire incident", an official spokesman said.
"He hoped that well-planned work will commence very early to restore this revered and historical shrine to its pristine glory," the spokesman added.
The Governor also met the custodian of the shrine and expressed relief that the relics housed inside the shrine were not damaged.
