Srinagar: A personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was killed and another injured when suspected militants opened fire at them in the heart of Srinagar today.
According to reports, the jawans were purchasing something when the militants fired at them from point blank range. Reports said that the two were unarmed.
The incident happened near Naaz Cinema in the Iqbal Park area of the city. Panic gripped the area after the incident, with shopkeepers and pedestrians running helter skelter.
The injured personnel has been rushed to the hospital. A manhunt has been launched for the two militants.
