Srinagar: A 27-year-old undertrial at the Srinagar Central Jail died on Monday while he was being taken to the hospital in the state capital, the police said.
Ajaz Ahmad Malik, who was in judicial custody since May 5 following his arrest in a narcotic drugs case, was rushed to Rainawari hospital by the jail authorities after he complained of uneasiness but he was declared "brought dead" by doctors, they said.
Malik was a resident of Purwan-Poshwan village of Pulwama district.
