Srinagar: In a rare case, a woman in Kashmir gave birth to quintuplets -- three boys and two girls -- at a government hospital, officials said.
Afroza, a resident of Larkipora village of central Kashmir's Budgam district, gave birth to the five children at the Lal Ded hospital here after a cesarean section.
All the five infants weigh over two kilograms, which is considered "normal", Farooq Ahmad, in-charge General Surgery Theater at the hospital told PTI.
This is the second delivery for the woman who had suffered two miscarriages between after the delivery of her first child - a boy - few years ago.
