Srinagar:
A medical student died after being buried in a snow avalanche in Sonamarg area of Ganderbaldistrict, police said on Wednesday.
Zubair Ahmad Chowdary, an MBBS student at JV Medical College in Bemina, was killed on the spot while four other people, including three tourists were injured.
The avalanche was triggered by a melting glacier at Thajwas, 90 kms from Srinagar, the spokesman said.
