Surat: Fed up with a prolonged mental illness of her son, a woman committed suicide in Surat after poisoning him and the younger sibling, police said today.
After poisoning Jainish, 6 and Prachi, two-and-a-half, Chetna Mangukia, wife of a diamond artisan, consumed poison and died late last night, police said.
According to the police, Jainish was mentally ill for quite some time, which caused a lot of stress to his mother.
The girl died yesterday evening while the woman died later on the same night.
