Chennai:
12 people have been killed in rain related incidents in Tamil Nadu's Cuddalore district that was hit by a deep depression on Monday.
Eight of the victims including four children are from the same family. Their hut along a river bank was washed away by flashfloods on Monday night near Panrutti.
Five other people died in rain related incidents in other parts of the state over the last two days. Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had announced Rs 4 lakh as relief for their families.
