Chennai: 17 people, including six women and a child, were killed and 27 injured in multiple-vehicle collision in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri district, police said.
Police say a cargo truck lost control after a tyre burst, crossed the median, collided with the bus and hit a car as well.
Drivers of both vehicles died in the accident.
The truck was travelling from Hosur to Erode and the bus from Krishnagiri to Malur.
The injured were rushed to Salem Government hospital.
