Chennai: The process of exhuming human bones continues as the investigators dug up two more human skeletons over weekend from a graveyard in Tamil Nadu's Madurai in an alleged human sacrifice case.
So far, remains of seven bodies have been exhumed from the burial site where granite baron PR Palanisamy allegedly ordered human sacrifices more than a decade ago.
Madurai police have sent all skeletons for forensic examination. The police will also interrogate Servakodian, the driver, who has accused Mr Palanisamy for the human sacrifice.
Already the police have grilled the granite mogul for eight hours a few days ago.
The police undertook the exhumation after Mr Servakodian alleged he had seen two men being buried there after human sacrifice sixteen years ago.
Locals say the skeletons were of their family members who died after natural deaths. They have opposed the exhumation.
Madurai Superintendent of Police Vijayendra Bidari said, "We would also seek DNA testing to identify the skeletons following claims by local people."
The PRP group has denied these allegations.
