Rameswaram : Three fishermen were injured when they were allegedly attacked by Sri Lankan naval personnel off Katchatheevu.
The naval personnel pelted stones and threw bottles at the fishermen and also cut the fishing nets of five boats, Fishermen's Association leader Sagayan told reporters.
The fishermen were part of a group of about 2,300 who had put out to sea on Saturday from here in 565 boats.
Fearing further attacks, the other fishermen returned to shore without any catch, he said.
