Madurai: Two country-made bombs and an equal number of petrol bombs have been recovered from the venue of a meeting organised by the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) here, police said today.
While two bombs were detected before the meeting began last night at Jaihindpuram, the other set was found after the function.
None of them exploded, police said.
Earlier on Sunday, crude bombs had been hurled at the offices of Tamil Nadu minister Sellur K Raju and the AIADMK in Madurai in two separate incidents.
No one was injured in the incident.
Mr Raju had then blamed his political opponents for hurling of bombs.
Yesterday's meeting was organised by Mr Raju, who is representing Madurai West in the assembly.
