13 passengers were injured after four coaches of a Bengaluru-bound Island Express derailed at Naatrampalli in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu early morning today.
The accident took place at 4:50 am today. No casualty has been reported so far.
The train was travelling from Kanyakumari to Bengaluru.
At least 11 trains have been cancelled on the Chennai - Bangalore - Chennai sector due to the accident. These include the Chennai - Bengaluru - Chennai double decker, Chennai - Bengaluru - Chennai Brindavan Express and Lalbagh Express
The Coimbatore - Rajkot Junction Express has been diverted via Tirupattur, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Renigunta.
