Chennai: Tamil actor Rajinikanth has decided not to celebrate his birthday on December 12 on account of the torrential rains that sparked a deluge in Chennai and nearby districts.
The 64-year-old actor has instead asked his fans to involve themselves in flood relief activities, sources said.
Rajinikanth's fans celebrate their icon's birthday every year in a grand manner, conducting prayers and distributing welfare aid to the needy.
The actor is currently filming his hugely anticipated "Kabali" in which he plays an ageing gangster.
