Switching to poll mode, the ruling AIADMK today authorised party general secretary and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa to take all election-related decisions as the state goes to assembly polls next year.
The party's key decision-making body, General Council (GC), adopted a resolution in this regard here.
"In order to ensure AIADMK's victory in the 2016 assembly elections, this general council authorises party General Secretary Amma (as Ms Jayalalithaa is popularly known) to take all election-related decisions," the resolution, proposed by Presidium Chairman E Madhusudhnan and seconded by all GC members, said.
The party members also lauded Ms Jayalalithaa for ensuring AIADMK's victory in all polls held in the state since 2011, when it captured power, crediting the Chief Minister's political acumen for the unbeatable track record.
