Tamilisai Soundararajan, president of BJP's Tamil Nadu unit, is among 21 candidates announced by the party today in the second list for the state Assembly elections.
Ms Soundarrajan will be contesting the elections from Virugampakkam Assembly seat while Puratchi Kavidasan, who merged his Makkal Thamizhagam party with the BJP, will be contesting from Gandarvakottai, a reserved seat for SC.
The list was announced after deliberations of the Central Election Committee of the party in New Delhi today.
Ramalingam MS has been given ticket from Thanjavur while Sivakumar alias Pettai Siva will be contesting Mannargudi, Muthukumar C will try his luck from Mayiladuthurai, Saravanan SP from SC seat Kattumannarkoil, Thirumalaibalaji from Dindigul and Nandakumar R from Kavundampalayam.
Thangaraj will be trying to bloom a 'lotus' at Palladam constituency, Jeganathan VP from Mettuppalayam, Shanmugam N from Dharapuram (SC), Krishnakumar from Modakurichi, Gopinath from Salem (North), AC Murugesan from Sankari, Ponrasa from Yercaud (ST), VG Rengasamy from Thiruporur and Karu Nagarajan from Mylapore.
Suresh Karuna will be contesting from Anna Nagar, Krishnakumar Nathani from Harbour, Jaishankar M from Villivakkam and Janakiraman RMR from Thiruvallur, a release from BJP said.
