The engine and two coaches of the Chennai-Palani Express train derailed early this morning at Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri district. The accident happened at Dasampatti.
Railway authorities say no passenger was injured. An investigation has been ordered.
Rail traffic on that route was stopped for three hours, and has now resumed.
