A college bus carrying 15 students in Chennai today caught fire, but all of them escaped unhurt as fire service personnel doused the flames, officials said.
The bus, belonging to a private college, was near Guindy when the driver noticed smoke and fire emanating from the engine of the bus, a Fire and Rescue Services official said.
The blaze soon spread but the students alerted the fire service personnel of nearby Raj Bhavan who rushed to the spot and doused the flames, he said.
