Puducherry: CPIM today urged Puducherry government to withdraw the 10 per cent Value Added Tax imposed on hotel products and cooked foods from January this year.
'The ten percent VAT has come as a serious blow to the hoteliers and this would tell upon the business scenario in Puducherry', CPIM local unit Secretary V.Perumal told reporters here.
He also sought a rollback of the Rs 5 increase in the milk price and bus fare hike.
