Puducherry:
A fisherman's welfare association said it would stage a demonstration in front of theoffice of Project Implementation Agency on March 7 to protest against 'delay'' in implementing housing scheme fortsunami hit fishermen families of Vambakeerapalayam hamlet.
Puducherry Meenava Makkal KazhagamGeneral Secretary M Veeramani said in a release that the government had announcedthat around 975 tsunami affected families would each be given Rs 2.80 lakh to reconstruct concrete houses.
However only some of them had been given aid, he said.
