Coimbatore: DMDK president Vijayakanth will hit the campaign trail for the May 16 Assembly elections once the list of candidates of the DMDK-PWF alliance for all 234 constituencies is released, party Women's Wing chief and his wife Pramalatha said.
"At present I am on the first round of campaign in Corporation areas across the state, which will be completed in five days," Premalatha told reporters.
Mr Vijayakanth will start his campaign immediately after the release of the candidates list, she said.
She said the DMDK-Peoples Welfare Front alliance was the real alternative to AIADMK and DMK.
DMDK has been alloted 124 seats and Vijayakanth named the Chief Ministerial candidate while the four-party PWF would share the remaining seats.
