DMK today lambasted the AINRC Government in Puducherry for 'delay' in filling 151 posts of Office superintendents, lying vacant for several years.
DMK's local unit convenor MAS Subramanian said in a release that High Courts and the Supreme Court had upheld the amalgamation of Grades I and II of Superintendents posts in government departments. But the government had not filled 151 vacant posts in departments for years, embarrassing the staff awaiting elevation in their career.
He also took strong exception to the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms delaying the step to get the Centre's nod to sanction promotion for Assistants to the higher post of Superintendent. This 'negligent' approach had triggered protests recently by staff awaiting promotion.
