Duo escapes with Rs 1.17 lakh snatched from two wheeler rider

Coimbatore: A two wheeler rider was relieved of Rs 1.17 lakh by a duo on a motorcycle who threw chillipowder on his face, police said.

The accountant had withdrawn the money from a bank at Peelamedu and was leavingin his motorcyle with the cash in a bag when the duo accosted him, threw chilli powder on his faceto momentarily blind him and escaped with the cash, they said.
